Free supplies. Family-friendly. All are welcome.
The Chicago Parks Foundation provides volunteer groups with supplies and support to independently host clean-ups at any of Chicago’s 600+ parks.
In 2020, the CPF launched our first ever citywide volunteer park clean-up initiative. Thanks to outstanding community enthusiasm, the effort has quickly grown and we have supported thousands of volunteers for hundreds of clean-up events ever since!

Host a Clean-Up Event
Every PIFTP clean-up needs a point of contact. As a host, you independently lead small volunteer groups in simple 1-2 hour trash pick-up event(s).
Schedule: You pick the park, time(s), and date(s). Anytime from June 1-October 31, 2026!
Optional: Make the most impact by committing to recurring dates, ex. weekly June-Oct.
Private or Public: Gather your own group for your clean-up and DIY as a private event. OR choose for your clean-up to be listed as a public event on our platform so additional volunteers can register to join you.
Supply Delivery: In advance of your event date(s), CPF delivers complimentary supplies to you - trash bags, gloves, and promotional signage. Then you lead the clean-up(s) independently and report back to us as needed for support!
*Please note: CPF needs a minimum of 2 weeks advance notice to complete your complimentary supply delivery. Please ensure the event you submit is planned at least 2 weeks in advance.
