IT’S YOUR PARK DAY 2026 - Saturday, May 30th

Our Pitch In for the Parks season of park clean-ups runs June through October each year. We’re kicking it all off on May 30th with a special citywide event called It's Your Park Day.

HOST an It’s Your Park Day Event

WHO CAN HOST?

Anyone can host an IYPD event!

This is a great opportunity for individuals, scout troops, block clubs, church groups - anyone! All IYPD events are open to the public to register to join as volunteers.

If the park you’d like to host at has an active Park Advisory Council, CPF will connect you with the group for potential collaboration.

WHAT IS MY ROLE AS A HOST?

Each IYPD event needs a host to serve as the point of contact. 

Hosts help promote the public volunteer registration link, receive the free supply delivery, and independently lead the event on May 30th.

CPF creates and manages your volunteer registration page, delivers supplies directly to your home or park, and communicates via email to coordinate your event. 

WHAT SUPPLIES DO I RECEIVE?

• PACs: Trash bags, gloves, promotional signage, and water. Optional mulch, Fibar, and tools for additional activities.

• Everyone Else: Trash bags, gloves, and promotional signage, water.

You can find all IYPD clean-up groups seeking participants below! More parks will be added here the closer we get to May 30th, 2026.

Please complete your free online registration by clicking Register for your desired event. Walk-ups are also welcome day-of and can complete an online waiver onsite.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER IYPD? 

We keep pitching in - and we hope you'll join us!

IYPD kicks off our Pitch In for the Parks (PIFTP) program running June through October. Just like IYPD, we provide hosting PIFTP groups with complimentary supplies to independently host trash pick-ups - but PIFTP events can be at the park, date(s), and time(s) of your choice June-October. Or organize a Green Teams volunteer event for your corporate group at a park in need!
