Spring Brings Corporate Responsibility to the Parks

The Chicago Parks Foundation is proud to partner with businesses across the city that care about keeping our parks beautiful.

This month, we partnered with the Chicago Fire, LinkedIn, and Networked Insights. Spring marks the beginning of the corporate responsibility season in the parks. Check out what we've been up to, and reach out to eacosta@chicagoparksfoundation.org for more information about getting your own team involved!

Chicago Fire at Douglas Park

Thank you to the Chicago Fire for coming out to beautify Douglas Park on April 18th. The group ended up not only cleaning the park but pulled trash out of the lagoon too! Together they collected over 100 pounds of trash.

LinkedIn at Eckhart Park

LinkedIn staff came out to Eckhart Park early on April 21st to get a jump start on Earth Day celebrations! The group cleaned up over 75 pounds of trash. Huge thank you to CPF board member LaRon Johnson for organizing this day of service! LaRon said “It’s a little known fact that the Chicago Park District is the largest employer of youth in the State of Illinois, so it always feels great to lend a helping hand. Thanks team for the support and thanks to Chicago Parks Foundation for providing this opportunity to me and my fellow  coworkers. Happy early Earth Day!”

Networked Insights at Union Park

This lively crew from Networked Insights spent the afternoon of April 21st cleaning Union Park. Siobhan Earley, the Manager of Sales Operations at Networked Insights said, “Our colleagues and some of their young children came out for our Earth Day Community Engagement Initiative to work with the CPF to help clean up Union Park.  It was a fun team building experience spending the day outside beautifying one of Chicago’s great parks. It felt so rewarding when we found out that we picked up over 40 lbs. of garbage! We hope to do this again, thanks CPF!”
